Case of MPSV

In February 2012, the Anticorruption Endowment (NFPK) sued Labour and Social Affairs Minister Jaromír Drábek, his first deputy Vladimír Šiška, and unknown delinquents on suspicion of breach of duties in the management of foreign assets, misuse of information and position in business conduct (insider trading), accepting a bribe, and other transgressions. They might have committed these criminal acts during the introduction of new information systems for the payment of poverty benefits, care allowances, and handicapped allowances. Minister Drábek resigned in October 2012 and in June 2013, bribery and official power abuse charges were pressed against Vladimír Šiška and former head of that ministry’s IT department, Milan Hojer.
