Nemocnice Na Homolce aneb Dopravní podnik č. 2

Na Homolce Hospital’s former director, Dr. Vladimír Dbalý let private companies related to ŠACHTA & PARTNERS, Attorneys-at-Law, or rather Ivo Rittig, profit from renting the organization’s storage facilities.

The Anticorruption Endowment (NFPK) has presented at a press conference important evidence about the nonstandard conduct of AK ŠACHTA & PARTNERS in providing services to Na Homolce Hospital (NNH) or its subsidiary in part  in connection with leasing healthcare storage facilities in the NNH compound  to a private entity, ALSEDA s.r.o. (hereinafter “ALSEDA”). The company ALSEDA was represented by AK ŠACHTA & PARTNERS, which is related to lobbyist Ivo Rittig. NFPK has also presented significant circumstances of property character, pertaining to the family of Dr. Vladimír Dbalý.

NNH has since 1 July 2007 leased medical materiel depots on its premises to the company ALSEDA, for which it received a monthly sum of 140,000 CZK (rent and other fees) from that company. The new operator of the storage facilities, the company ALSEDA subsequently received from the contractors a compensation for storing their supplies to the tune of fifty times the monthly payments to NNH. One of the contractors paying fees for operating the ALSEDA storage facilities was the company Holte Medical, a.s. – a subsidiary of NNH which operated the facilities in the period prior to 1 July 2007. NFPK estimates that NNH was losing about eight million CZK per month to ALSEDA, related to Mr. Ivo Rittig. This amount is equivalent to annual loss of about 100 million CZK.

NFPK also documents an organizationally complex manner of acquisition of two immovable assets priced around 11 million CZK by the father of the former NNH director, Dr. Vladimír Dbalý. The acquisition was organized by AK ŠACHTA & PARTNERS through a set of companies associated with several members of this law firm. The company ALSEDA participated in the acquisition of one of the two immovable assets by providing a six-million-crown loan to another company, also controlled by AK ŠACHTA & PARTNERS.
