Building Hurricane

Transport construction expert Miloslava Pošvářová must be a menace to those who intentionally build whacky roads, bridges and walks and don’t give a damn to how they are maintained. Those who siphon off public funds and don’t maintain structures  the use of which might even be lethal. Miloslava Pošvářová comes hot on their heels. She undauntedly points her finger on those responsible and can tell you where public money has vanished without a trace. She is adamant on that, although she has been endlessly adviced to shut up and toe the line. But Mrs Pošvářová has always resisted such things and become the “Black Mamba”. Which is odd as this undaunted whistleblower always suggests concrete proposals and many useful recommendations . She always means it and works to get it, to begin with.

In 2011, when she joined the Government’s National Economic Council on Corruption in 2011, Miloslava Pošvářová presented her recommendations but the reaction was immediate: the steel lobby filed a nonsensical suit against her. Actually the government should have been grateful for her expertise and fitting  identification of problems and recommendations. Miloslava Pošvářová did not bulk and won her case in the court.

However, fears of Miloslava Pošvářová being allowed to communicate her rational approach to transport investments made the powers that be prevent her from teaching university students. Perhaps the greatest pressure was  put on her when facing the consequences of the Studénka accident in which eight people died. She did not bulk to pressure and presented an independent affidavit that identified the cause and those responsible. In the end she was again illogically sued for her expert opinion.

Miloslava Pošvářová is a hurricane that sweeps dirt off many dusty cases, including the landslide on Highway D8, lack of maintenance on Libeňský Bridge, sloppy  execution of Highway D47 and the Studénka Bridge accident.

As the head of the ŘSD quality control department she started to implement a sweeping reform aimed to improve the quality of transport investments, but her tenure was quite short for this reason. Strangely, she was fired shorty before the departure of a government that never had confidence in parliament. Many of the moves taken by her in her position of quality manager were annulled when she left her post. ŘSD is currently working to eliminate the quality control measures introduced by Miloslava Pošvářová. ŘSD hires persons and firms associated with the building contractors to review the abovementioned regulations.

At present, Miloslava Pošvářová is a member of the ŘSD Shadow Endowment and helps municipalities to tackle technical issues associated with Highway D8 and outline new highways, notably D3 and D11.

Independent, untamed, consistent and resolved: these  are the main characteristics of Miloslava Pošvářová. Exceptional indeed, and these attributes should serve an example  to the up-and-coming generation of responsible citizens with vested interests exceeding their particular field of endeavour.
